The VelociRAX 5 is a bike rack for hitches that holds up to five bikes and has 254mm (10 inch) spacing between tire baskets. This rack size fits perfectly behind SUVs and can comfortably transport several bikes without exceeding the body of an SUV size car. This rack takes the stress out of loading a group of bikes, and kids can load bikes too! You can't beat a five-bike hitch rack the whole family can load that also leaves room to access the back of the car. Let your bike rack do the work so you can enjoy the ride! There is no need to lift bikes onto this rack when using the roll-in and roll-out loading method, which means kids can load their bikes! Integrated hydraulic dampers assist fully loaded racks when lowering to the load position, so don’t worry about bikes crashing down when lowering this rack. All VelociRAX also come with a garage wall mount that can be used to store this rack with bikes when the rack is not on a vehicle.

You can fully load this rack with flat handlebar bikes (like mountain bikes), but a drop handlebar bike (like a road bike) can fit on the far end if desired.

- RVs/Trailers: you will need to have a Class III 50mm (2 inch) hitch receiver (tow bar) with a tongue weight capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs) at a minimum (bumper hitches, extension hitches, and hitches with cantilevered sections allow too much hitch movement and are inadequate). One item to check is if a ladder could possibly interfere with the rack. Trailers and RVs produce extreme forces on racks and bikes. Take extra care to strap tight and use rubber bands (or bike tubes cut in ~ 25mm (1 inch sections)) placed on the brake levers to decrease natural motion between bike and rack and fully secure the VelociRAX's built-in anti-rattle system.

I was looking for a rack that could hold my full suspension mountain bikes, plus my road bike and smaller bikes. This rack does it all. I keep it on my 2016 4Runner constantly and it remains stable and secure. I looked at competitor racks as well (namely North Shore), but I'm glad I went with this.

This rack is great for a family and really easy to load bikes. It's a solid rack and was easy to put together. Wish it was lighter to take off but otherwise it's exactly what we needed.

I purchased this mid-winter, so haven't had a chance to use it on my vehicle yet. With that said, I AM using it as my garage rack for now and it works perfectly for that.

This thing is very heavy-duty and nice looking. I'm really looking forward to getting it into action this spring!

Absolutely love this bike rack. My wife and kids can now load their own bikes. No issues with it so far.

We bought the 5 bike rack to support our high school mountain bike team. Got it in time for the last race of the year and it was well received by the student athletes. Easy to use. The hydraulic ram lowers the bikes slowly and doesn't require effort or hasty actions that have the potential to hurt someone. It rides well. Compared to other racks that stick out well behind the truck, this rack is positioned closer and does not shift a lot of weight to the rear, making it ride better than our old rack. We considered the 6 bike rack, but are pleased we didn't get it. We like the increase from 4 but think 6 would be less manageable.
