The VelociRAX 6 bike rack for hitches can carry up to 6 bikes and has 254mm (10 inch) spacing between tire baskets. This rack makes road trips with friends and family even better. UV-tested rubber straps are included to quickly secure bikes in place while ONLY contacting the bike’s tires. VelociRAX are patent pending with user-friendly features. There is no need to lift bikes onto this rack when using the roll-in and roll-out loading method, which means kids can load their bikes! Integrated hydraulic dampers assist fully loaded racks when lowering to the load position, so don’t worry about bikes crashing down when lowering this rack. All VelociRAX also come with a garage wall mount that can be used to store this rack with bikes when the rack is not on a vehicle.

You can fully load this rack with flat handlebar bikes (like mountain bikes), but a drop handlebar bike (like a road bike) can fit on the far right end if desired or in every other slot while skipping in between.

- RVs/Trailers: you will need to have a Class III 50mm (2 inch) hitch receiver (tow bar) with a tongue weight capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs) at a minimum (bumper hitches, extension hitches, and hitches with cantilevered sections allow too much hitch movement and are inadequate). One item to check is if a ladder could possibly interfere with the rack. Trailers and RVs produce extreme forces on racks and bikes. Take extra care to strap tight and use rubber bands (or bike tubes cut in ~ 25mm (1 inch sections)) placed on the brake levers to decrease natural motion between bike and rack and fully secure the VelociRAX's built-in anti-rattle system.

This is the best, beefiest, bike rack I've had and I've been through a few over the years. We drive large distance (Houston TX to Vancouver Island BC) with our bikes (MTB and road) annually. This rack makes life easy on the road with the hydraulic system enabling easy back of the truck access with our unloading the bikes. The same system also make bike loading and unloading really easy and fast. Super happy with it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new rack.

It work great once on the vehicle. I do wish they offered an aluminum version. I can’t get it on and off the vehicle easily because of the hitch height and weight. Turns out, the current generation Suburban’s hitch height is an inch taller that the current 3/4 ton GMC truck. I’m 65, 5’7” tall with a bad back so it can be a pain (literally). I’m going to build a stand similar to the one offered by VelociRAX, but with a built-in lift. That will make it much easier. As far as the Functionality of the rack, it is far easier to load that any rack I’ve ever owned. I am very happy with it.

Don't waste your time with any other rack! This is the best, most reliable, and easiest-to-use rack I've ever owned!

Great quality. Easy to take on and off. Very stable even with six bikes. Definitely worth the money.

This is a fantastic rack! Well made and durable! My only knock against the rack is that at the price point for a rack like this the integrated lock system should be included. When I bought another known brand locking cable was included in the purchase. But as far as the overall build and satisfaction, I give it high praise!
